Mouthful for mouthful, Core is my favourite food in London. There's something very cool about Core. Just underneath the shimmery surface of Michelin dining is a chef that can take a humble potato and mess with your mind. The venue looks tasteful and elegant. But there's a spirit of punk rock in the way every single ingredient pogos on your palate.
The restaurant is available for private hire (if you give them enough notice) seats 45-50 and would make for a truly memorable event.
"When people think about Notting Hill, they think about Hugh Grant and Portobello Market. But the neighborhood is also home to one of my favorite restaurants: Core by Clare Smyth. Ms. Smyth used to work for Gordon Ramsay before becoming one of the first British female chefs to get three Michelin stars. Keep in mind this is a special occasion restaurant—not somewhere you'd go for an everyday meal. The menu changes constantly, but be sure to order the Morecambe Bay shrimps if they're on offer. Reserve far in advance if you're hoping for a table."
