Only two London restaurants made it into the World's Top 50 Restaurants. Both Lyle's and The Clove Club are based in Shoreditch. No longer edgy, this neighbourhood is home to fine food and fun times. It's also a great area to run events. Proximity to the city, to excellent transport links and a host of interesting hotels and restaurants make Shoreditch an exciting area for events.
I ate at Lyle's last night and it was completely delicious. The flavours were wild and light and surprising. The service was light touch, friendly and informative. As a venue for a business event, you would need to negotiate a private hire as there is no private dining room. I think it could be a winner. The kitchen is open, which adds to the informal atmosphere. The food is memorable and it deserves it's place on the list.
