If you are thinking of running an event with a conscience, take a look at the restaurants signing up to The Standard's new Last Straw campaign.
Londoners are throwing away 2 billion plastic straws every year. We sure do like our fancy cocktails...but the landfill is avoidable.
As an events company with a conscience, we are pleased to see the Standard raising the standard for London venues. Restaurants who are thinking about reducing single use plastic straws will be at the top of our agenda as we start to think about venues for events in 2018.
Sexy Fish, Galvin, The Wolesley, well done all of you for joining the Last Straw pledge. The team at JD look forward to working with you again this year!
Some of London’s top West End restaurants today joined the Standard’s new campaign The Last Straw and pledged to use a green alternative to plastic from now on. Sexy Fish — where Kate Moss, Ellie Goulding, Jennifer Lawrence and Bella Hadid regularly dine — is one of the venues that have signed up to our campaign and pledged to ditch plastic straws for good. Also among those joining up are the Michelin-starred Galvin restaurants, The Wolseley, The Delaunay, and east London taco joint Del74.
